Site-specific installation for BFA Senior Exhibition fall 2015; 12'x6'x8'; plastic, steel, gauze pad

I am interested in the relationship between need for control and desire for freedom, as well as desire for control and need for freedom. This curiosity is represented in the juxtaposition of geometric and organic form. A tension-filled space between the two, acknowledges the separation of necessity and want. This body of work conveys concern with the state of interconnectedness between the cause and effect of actions. Permanent or transient, all decisions contain reverb. My progress as an artist is drawn largely from an alert sensitivity to detail in environment and human condition. I hope for the viewer to develop a shifting, sensitive web of connective thoughts, and arrive at a deeper understanding of the self.
