Composition Deconstructed Reconstructed, 19” x 12”, piano key, fibers, nail, leaf, paper, cheese cloth, 2015

A composition constructed of deconstruction originally intended for composition. Happening upon the sad sight of a piano being destroyed, leading to a rewiring of circuits. A moment is frozen in time, a maple leaf electroformed. This leaf, crucified, weights the impermanent cords. An assumingly unreadable message awaits decoding.
